Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How soon do I get massages after surgery?

A: ASAP. The sooner the better. If you wait, you can develop fibrosis. The massages help to prevent fibrosis and to decrease fibrosis if you have it already.

Q: I had surgery a year ago and I don't like my results. Do I have to get another surgery?

A: No. You don't HAVE to get another surgery. We offer body contouring which helps shape the body and gets rid of fat.

Q: How long do I have to wear the faja/garment?

A: Short answer is 6 months.

Q: What is the long answer?

A: 3 months for 24hr and 12hrs a day for an additional 3 months.

Q: How long is this whole process?

A: Post surgical results can fluctuate for about a year.

Q: How many massages do I need?

A: As many as you would like for your personal goals. Typically, surgeons will tell you to get between 5 and 20 massages. The amount of massages really depends on the results you are getting. Massages help with inflammation, fibrosis, shaping, and sometimes scarring. Some people are satisfied after 10 massages, others get around 20+. The frequency of massages decrease over time.

Q: How often do I get massages? Can I book every day this week?

A: You will only need 2-3 massages a week for the first couple of weeks, then it will go to twice a week, then once a week, then once every two weeks, and decrease as you begin to have the results you desire.
